Hi my name is Donna Aloe, I have worked in the Healthcare field for 25 years of my life, made it to corporate where I remained for about 10 years. My passion though has always been decorating, I have always loved to breathe new life into old pieces, preferring handmade over mass produced. My friends had always said "Why don’t you start a career in the decorating field", but we always tend to stay where we make the most money even if we are unfulfilled. In 2010 I battled with some health issues and I needed to make some changes in my life so I moved on leaving my job behind to follow my passion. I spent a lot of my time decorating and creating furniture for family and friends which also helped me therupeutically. In 2013 my husband retired from his job so my family and I moved to Plano, Texas. I have my daughter to thank for the start of Fabulous Furniture by DD Designs since it was a mom of one of her schoolmates that became my good friend and partner in the business. We hit it off and realized we had the same interests and passion and started up “Fabulous Furniture by DD Designs.

Hi my name is Desiree a Bronx born native, I've always had a love for all things artistic from dance, photography to fashion and design. I spent time with my mom browsing thrift stores and learned to find beauty in the discarded with great bones. It has always been a dream to fulfill one of my passions and start a business tranforming what most people would not take a second look at to something you cannot keep your eyes off of. It was not until a year ago when my family moved to Texas that the beginning of Fabulous Furniture by DD Desisns began to take shape. Meeting my amazing friend and partner Donna through our daughters no less was the start of it all. We quickly found out we shared not just a love of reinvention but a dream to make it into a business. We decided to take those dreams and make it into a reality. With nonstop ideas and energy we got to work and have not stopped since. I consider myself to be very friendly, loving and creative person always ready with an idea to transform the special pieces I come across.
